⚔️ Paul Allermoz, the precision of a steady hand

A young fencer already in full control of his game
He is 14 years old, with a clear gaze and a confident hand.On the piste, Paul Allermoz leaves nothing to chance.Winner of the 10th edition of the Porthos Tournament, the young fencer from Romans-sur-Isère dominated a demanding competition in which every bout is decided by a single touch. After defeating Spain’s P. Roger in the semi-final, he prevailed against a Swiss opponent in a charged atmosphere — a decisive victory, a symbol of composure and maturity rare for his age.
A journey built on consistency

A loyal member of the Romans Bourg-de-Péage Fencing Club, where he began fencing at the age of four, Paul now trains three to four times a week under the guidance of Maître Patrick Dubos. Inspired by his grandfather, he quickly found in fencing a balance between discipline, precision, and pleasure.
“It’s an excellent concept,” he says about the Porthos Tournament. “I got into it from the very first match.”
During the event, the coveted FIE uniform promised to the winner wasn’t his only motivation — it was the mental challenge that drew him in most.
“It’s not like a traditional tournament — it’s more intense. You’re happy, but you don’t realize it right away. One thing’s for sure: you can’t afford to make mistakes!”
Clear goals, dreams embraced
Ranked 18th nationally and third in the team event, Paul enters the season with high ambitions.
“My goal is to become French champion in U15 and U17.”And beyond that?“The 2032 Olympic Games.”
A sentence spoken without bravado, but with the calm conviction of someone who knows exactly where he’s headed.

A young champion to watch
His remarkable path has not gone unnoticed by the Aramis & Cie team, who see in him a model of focus and consistency.
Ronan Gustin, president of the organization, notes:
“The one-touch format highlights fencers who can stay fully focused in the moment. Paul exemplifies that mastery perfectly.”
Determined, composed, and thoughtful, Paul Allermoz embodies this new generation of fencers who learn early that performance is nothing without precision and perseverance.A name to remember — as the future of French fencing begins to take shape.
